What's Happening at the CORE?
News & Updates
The SLIDES in the SPLASH pool will be closed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday until March 1. The beach entry, lazy river, spa and pool areas will all remain open during SPLASH hours.
The closure is due to the lifeguard shortage that we hope to alleviate with our next Lifeguard Training happening on February 21 - 24. If you or someone you know is interestred in becoming a CORE Lifeguard, please call the CORE at 575-393-CORE (2673). There are openings for year round full-time and part-time positions, for Shallow Water guards (which means those individuals that cannot pass the full length and full depth swimming requirements can be certified to guard shallow areas of water instead), and those looking for flexible or alternative times to work.
The Junior Lifeguard program will be coming to the CORE soon to assist in our on-going need for Lifeguards for many years to come!
The CORE will be open normal hours of operation on Monday for Presidents’ Day.
The SPLASH pool will be open extra hours, from Noon - 9:30 pm since school is out!
The SPLASH SLIDES will be CLOSED but the Lazy River, Beach Entry, Pool, and SPA will all be open for the whole afternoon and evening!!

A state of the art facility that enhances the quality of life, provides economic development and improves the health of area residents. An intergenerational place for our residents and guests in our community which offers indoor, year-round opportunities for social interaction, learning, fun and fitness for all ages and abilities. A place where families can enjoy multiple activities in one location.
I am very honored to be a part of this community. The CORE will have so much to offer those living both in and outside of Hobbs and Lea County. I am excited to lead the efforts to offer programs, special events, activities and opportunities at the CORE and look forward to meeting all of you when you visit this amazing facility.
